After many years of Liberal Democrat campaigning, the Botley Bypass is soon to be a reality. The majority of traffic running through the centre of Botley is through traffic, making this one of the worst places in Eastleigh for air quality. The biggest issue as you may have expected, is funding the work, which will run to the tens of millions of pounds. The completion of Whitley Way and the proposed north Whitely development has been the deciding factor and so the Hampshire County Conservatives could no longer hold back on this much need piece of transport infrastructure.
