An application to build 100 homes at the Botley Road site opposite the Ageas Bowl was turned down on 16 September 2015 (App No. O/15/76418) and a notice of appeal given. The date of the hearing is 19 July and will take place at the Holiday Inn Express, Botley Road from 10.00am. It is expected that the appeal will take three days. Unfortunately, an evening session hoped for by local residents has been turned down by the planning inspector. Numerous residents have expressed their desire to have a say at the appeal, but since many of them work during they day, the numbers of attendees will not likely represent the strength of feeling against this appeal.
